Two Golf Event Updates

1. Professional Event: National Championship Kicks Off in Chongqing for Olympic Preparation

The 2026 "Juntai Cup" Poly Cultural Tourism National golf Championship opened on May 6 at Chongqing Poly Golf Club.
As China’s flagship annual team competition, the event attracted 44 teams from 25 institutions nationwide, with a total of 167 elite players. The lineup includes traditional provincial and municipal strong teams, university teams and newly established city representative teams, featuring high competitiveness and ornamental value.
Four competitions are set: men’s team, women’s team, men’s individual and women’s individual, adopting the stroke play format. Notably, the organizing committee announced at the pre-tournament general meeting that a national golf mixed team championship will be held in Tianjin this August. Its event setup will align with the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, aiming to improve the domestic competition system and support Olympic preparation as well as young talent cultivation.
The tournament is open to the public throughout, with the final two rounds livestreamed online.

2. Amateur Event: 10th Beijing Amateur Golf Open Concludes Its Milestone Chapter

On May 7, the press conference and draw ceremony of the 2026 Kaiyuan Capital Beijing Amateur Golf Open was held at Beijing Oriental Pearl Country Club.
Founded in 2015, the tournament has become a key platform for popularizing golf, with over 24,500 cumulative registrations.
This year marks the 10th edition sponsored by Kaiyuan Capital, rounding off their decade-long partnership.
Divided into the Open Division and Senior Division, 32 qualifying teams have completed group draws, and the official competition will start on June 2.
The Beijing Golf Association stated it will continue to provide a professional platform for amateur golfers to compete and communicate.
Kaiyuan Capital announced it will no longer serve as the title sponsor, but will keep supporting the event and build an entrepreneur ecosystem centered on golf.
